Maradona's Story...
Hi, I am Maradona. My foster parents call me a Peanut Butter Pocket Lab because of my color and size. I am only 20 inches tall at my shoulder and just 48 lbs. I am around 3 years old, so that is as big as I am going to get! My foster parents are not completely sure what my tail looks like because I am so happy all of the time that I have not stopped wagging it! I am simply amazing with other dogs. I chill with older dogs and have a blast playing with puppies. I am very polite and allow you to go first through doorways and have to be invited up on furniture. I would love to sleep on your bed and snuggle or lay at your feet while you are on the computer. Basically, I'm a perfect dog... almost. I am not a fan of this claws and fuzz thing called a "cat". Other than not liking the fuzz creature, I am the perfect little girl.

If you would like to meet Maradona and talk to her foster mom, please email: info@forrescue.net. You may also complete an application at: http://forrescue.net/dog-application/

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Maradona, a Knoxville Labrador Retriever dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever for sale in Knoxville, or seeking a Labrador Retriever dog from a breeder in Knoxville.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Knoxville already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Knoxville breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever breeders who help with Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Knoxville paves the way for another one to be saved.
