My story

Royal Apollo, "Apollo" is a young, almost black thoroughbred gelding who retired from Finger Lakes Race Track on December 1, 2014. He hadn't raced since July 17, 2014 however as his feet would not hold shoes. Just prior to his arrival at our facility, his feet had resolved enough for shoes but his race owner didn't want to winter him to bring him back to race in the spring. Apollo raced 32 times and earned $30,999 while on the track. He is a super sweet guy who is going well under saddle. He would make a wonderful hunter and stands at 16.1 with room to grow.

Royal Apollo is available for adoption under a no racing/no auction contract with right of first refusal through Second Chance Thoroughbreds, Inc.
