My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

My name is Sugar and I am a 10 month old purebred Shar Pei. I am about 35 pounds. My life didn't start out so good. My previous "owner" abandoned me in her apartment after she stopped paying her rent. I didn't eat and only drank water from the toilet for over a month. After, the apartment landlord broke me out, but he didn't like me very much and only fed me scraps. I was so skinny that all my ribs and spine were showing, both of my eyes and ears were infected, and I had skin issues. The landlord ran into my foster mama at the park and agreed to foster me. I am now living with three dogs and cats and getting healthy again, but I need a forever home. I am really sweet and potty trained and like other dogs and cats, and of course love treats!Our adoptions are restricted to residents of Los Angeles and Orange Counties. We do not ship animals or do long distance adoptions. See our adoption policies for more details on our adoption process. Our adoption events are held at the Petco located at 24413 Crenshaw Blvd., Torrance, CA Saturdays from 12pm to 3pm.
