*** Please be patient, we are a very small organization and we all sadly have to work and have families just like you. We also know the excitement of finding a pet that could be your furever family member and we receive numerous inquiries
from other families who feel the same way. Our primary goal is matching the perfect family with our pups and do not practice first come, first serve". We are setting up many meet and greets with our pups and the family could be found prior to you even getting to meet them. We will make sure all potential adopters who inquired are updated if the pup has been adopted. We do not want to waste anyone's time and recommend you keep looking while you wait to hear from us and as always Thank You for adopting and not shopping. ***
Adoption applications will be sent via email only, we do not have them posted online anywhere or on a website.
My name is Gracie I am the smaller 8yr old apricot female poodle and I weigh a whopping 2.6lbs when I came into my foster home and Georgie is my 5yr old apricot Poodle sister who came in at 5.4lbs when she came into foster. . We sadly had a happy life and lived with our Mom and Dad until they had gotten divorced when the daughter took us into her care. She did a lot of moving, was going to school and she really didn't have the time for us. We were kept locked up in her room while she went to school, work and out for the evenings. She came home to visit and brought us back to Dad.. Dad told the rescue he took us somewhere he couldn't remember if it was the vet or the groomer (The rescue checked, we haven't been to a vet in a long time) when he was told we were not being taken care of properly. I (Gracie) am a bag of bones and I think that scared my Dad so he surrendered us both to the shelter who reached out to the rescue. The rescue did talk with Dad a lot and he said he just couldn't take care of us and he didn't think his daughter was equipped to take care of us either and he felt it was for the best.

Our foster Mommy says we are total love bugs and big time lap warmers and get along great with each other, the other dogs(small breeds) and cats in the house. We are getting crated at night but prefer to be out and do great when left out alone, if we are crated it is best we are in our own crates, we had one little scuffle inside and got snippy with each. Foster Mom decided to crate us separate after that to avoid any injury and as far as we know we have never been crated, otherwise foster Mom leaves us out during the day.. Daddy has been snuggling and kissing on us since he came home, he doesn't care we are bags of bones..Mom said she has ordered Nutri-cal and will be giving us that twice a day.
We are housebroken and doing very well in that area and will let you know when we have to go potty.
I (Gracie) still need to go in for a dental, my teeth are in terrible shape and my breath is awful but I need to gain some weight and will be going in soon. We are already/spayed/Heartworm Neg/Vaccinated/Microchipped
We will keep you posted when we will be ready for our new perfect home

Well foster Mom says Lap-Lap-Lap that's all we want to do. She says with a little bit of lovin, some good nutrition we will be fit as fiddles in no time!!! Our foster mom even made is sweaters to wear, yep that's right made us special ones just for us... !! Gracie, she gets real cold when we go outside, I do as well but not as bad as she does. I am eating fine but my little sister Gracie is not eating as well and the rescue is not sure if it is her teeth or the cause.. Foster Mom decided to actually make us homemade food to see if we will eat that..WE LOVE IT.. so now we are eating homemade food, the rescue thinks it may also have something to do with her teeth and maybe that is the cause of her weight loss or even the fact that I may have just bullied her over to eat it.. but the goal is to get some weight on us before she can go for a dental.

We are doing great and getting all kinds of lovin, we are total lap dogs and just love vegging around and getting as much attention as you will give. Foster Mom says we will def keep you warm over the winter while we sit on your lap. She is also still making us homemade food of chicken/turkey/rice and veges to help put on some weight. I (Georgie) can use a few more pounds but my sister hasn't really gained anything so the rescue decided to go ahead and go forward with the dental, of course she will get a full panel blood test due to her age and maybe we will find out if there are any other issues. Other then that I (Georgie) am doing pretty good... I will chase the cats if they decide they are going to run so a running cat is a game for me, a cat that just sits there like the other one I just ignore. We do not play a lot nor do we play with the other dogs in the home either so we would not be companion dogs for another dog who is active and wants to play and chase or run around. We are official couch potatoes that can learn tricks if taught.

Well the rescue and foster Mom were discussing getting my sister (Gracie) in for a dental when foster Mom said my breath really smells too, everyone looked at my teeth and they were pretty white and I am younger then my sister by 3 years!! My sister still has not gained the weight everyone thought she would so there was a concern maybe something more was going on. The date has been set and we will be going in ...

Oboy..we are at the vet... the rescue met foster Mom here and she is in total love with us.. she wants to tae us home with her now...LOL well my sister got her blood test done, and a look over and guess what??? I Georgie need a dental too!!! That explains my yucky breath.. why did I come with.. my blood test will be done when I get my dental done to make sure nothing is going on with me since I am much younger but lets keep our fingers crossed my sister has nothing wrong with her..
WOW the blood test came back and she is in perfect health just like me.. we go in for our dental next week on Tuesday.. wish us luck!!.

Now listen this is a real shocker..I had my blood test done and that came back great but my sister the little girl, the older girl who has the very disgusting looking teeth has better teeth then I do!!! I had to have 4 teeth removed and I have gingivitis to top it off so I will be on some medication to help get rid of that but I do have fresh breath now. My sister only had 2 teeth removed !! I guess no more sweets for me!! We made it thru with flying colors .. we are home now and we will take our medication and the goal is to get some weight on both of us before we get adoptted, unless of course that very special home comes along prior to that cause we do need some extra special care to get us 100%
