Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Meet Perkins! This guy's floppy ears and positive energy will always put a smile on your face. Perkins was found running around, covered in ticks as if he had been outside for a while. He spent a month at the shelter, but because he was so shy in the kennel, he was overlooked. Now that he is in foster care that tail doesn't stop and you can definitely see that happy-go-lucky personality! Perkins loves exploring on hikes, going to the dog park, and meeting new people. He has quickly picked up on house-training, kennel-training, and obedience commands. Although very smart, this guy is not the most graceful and will occasionally bump into unmoving objects. There is so much he wants to see, he doesn't look where he's going!
At around 6 months, this guy is still a big sweet puppy, weighing in around 35lbs. We guess that he will be in the upper 30-40 pound range once full grown. He absolutely loves people, so a big family that can give him the play and cuddle time he wants would be ideal. He is still a goofy puppy, so older children he couldn't knock over with his exuberance would be perfect! Perkins also loves other dogs so playmates in the house would be great, but the dog park would also suffice. All this guy wants is a family of his own!
Dogs in our program are fixed, microchipped, up to date on vaccinations, and examined by a veterinarian prior to adoption.
Perkins is currently in foster care so, if interested, please email us today!
