Sunshine's Story...
We simply cannot say enough good things about Sunshine. This poor girl has an absolutely lovable purrsonality and she loves everyone she meets, but she's still been overlooked for several months now. She wants nothing more than to start her new life with her forever family soon! She's a wonderful girl, and she's at SCAC through no fault of her own. She was brought in by her previous family on December 8th, and they said that she is good with kids and other pets. She loves to play, and she also loves to snuggle and sleep in your lap - she's truly the best of both worlds! She's only 5 years old, her adoption fee is discounted to just $31, and she's ready to go home: already spayed, microchipped, current on shots, etc. Stop by tomorrow and ask to meet this cuddly kitty! - (217) 535-3065

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Sunshine, a Springfield Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Springfield, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Springfield.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Springfield already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Springfield breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Springfield paves the way for another one to be saved.
