found a new home!
Plenty of my friends are looking
for one too. Find a pet to adopt.
I am already spayed, housetrained, and up to date with shots.
I love to snuggle on the couch and hope one day to make my way to the bed. You see, I came from a not-very-good place, where my former owner kept me on a chain outside with dozens of other dogs. Some of these dogs were fought, but my rescuers aren't sure if I was. What they do know is that I was used to make puppies. Probably lots of puppies. But no more! I'm now getting great vet care, am up-to-date on my shots, and I've been spayed. So no more puppies for me!
I'm currently in foster care in Northern Virginia, but my rescue will consider adoptive homes in DC, MD, PA, and VA.
Every day is a new adventure for me. I have a great "sit" before mealtimes and while getting leashed. And I've never had any accidents in the house. We're taking things very slowly to make sure I'm set up for success (that's why I haven't graduated to the bed yet).
In mid-January 2015, my foster mom and my trainer will introduce me to my foster mom's dog. That will be a good indicator as to how I'll do with other dogs. Then I should be ready for adoption mid- to late-January 2015.
If you'd like to meet me before then, please email firstname.lastname@example.org. I can tell you now that I'd love to meet you!!
