Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Kona is a young girl who was lucky to be turned over to someone who is caring for her, instead of being turned in to the local pound. She is a very intelligent girl who loves solving problems. She loves playing hide and seek with her toys! She has potential as a service or working dog but needs some work on self-control first. She is loyal and can be protective and possessive of her people, which is why her rescuer thinks she'd be best as an only dog.
Kona has been evaluated as a working dog. She was turned down by one organization because she acted protective of her rescuer on her own territory. Once she feels more secure and is confident in her self-control, she's likely to overcome that weakness. She does well in public, and she's ready for a home of her own with someone who will provide a safe home, love, structure and basic training. Kona will re-pay your kindness with a lifetime of love and loyalty!
Contact Debbie at 209-996-2256 (call or text) for more information about adopting Kona.
