Meet Jersey!
Jersey is a petite, two-year-old American pit bull terrier mix, and pocket-sized at approximately 45 pounds. She's a wonderful houseguest and would be a great match for many types of families, including first-time dog owners and families with children.
When all is said and done, Jersey's favorite place to be is by your side or at your feet -- she's a champion couch-cuddler! She's a wonderful sidekick to curl up with -- she'll help you read a book or watch a movie, and will supervise you while doing chores.
This girl is house-trained and trusted in her space without being crated -- she's not destructive and rests calmly when left alone. She enjoys her daily walks and is working on her leash manners with great success!
Jersey loves the company of smaller and more relaxed dogs -- her current buddy is a small, senior dog and she is gentle and respectful with him. She greets most dogs politely and and seems most comfortable with smaller dogs who are more calm and relaxed. She enjoys playing with other dogs and loves to get those front legs involved, boxer-style!
If you're looking for the perfect sidekick, Jersey is your girl!
Jersey’s adoption fee is $200 and she’s located in Brookfield, WI. Because all our Cupids are fostered in private homes, an approved application MUST be on file before proceeding with a meet-and-greet. The online application can be found at http://www.caninecupids.org/adopt-.html.

Our Thoughts on Visual Breed Identification
Visual breed identification in dogs is unreliable. For most of our adoptable Cupids we are only guessing at the predominant breed or breed mix. We think it’s most important is to get to know each dog as an individual! We then do our best to describe each of our adoptable Cupids based on their personalities in order to determine whether they’ll make good companions based on prospective adopters’ lifestyles. Dog behavior is not exclusive to breed — it’s a complex mix of nature and nurture.
