My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Chaney arrived at a local business out in the county area. The business had an automatic chain-link gate that the employees used to go in and out for work. Chaney would sit at the gate daily monitoring the fence. When employees would arrive and the gate was activated, Chaney would run back and forth to chase the gate. He took his gate monitoring duties very seriously. He was befriended by the employees there and proved to be very friendly and enjoyed the attention they gave him. Realizing that he needed more in the way of a home than sitting at the gate, our rescue was contacted to help find Chaney a home.

Chaney is a dingo/heeler mix. A compact body of approx. 35 lbs, he is a beautiful male with a short, cropped coat, and ears that stand at attention at all times. He has been neutered, is up to date on vaccines, and has been fully treated for heart worms. He can be considered for transport by mid January. Chaney is good with other dogs, but he would probably do best as a single dog. Chaney would need a very active family or single owner. Dingos and heelers do best with lots of activity. Not the type of dog that would be good for small dwellings or apartments. Chaney would be a great camping and hiking dog since he loves the stimulation of exploring and being outdoors. A fenced yard would be great with lots of room to run and play. Short of that, daily long walks would be in order and running and playing at a dog park. Best in a one on one situation as a single dog with a very active individual or couple.
