Paige's Story...
Hi there! I’m Paige and I am looking for a “furever” home. Everyone says that I’m quite the catch being only 6 months old, around 30 lbs. and with my beautiful shepherd/lab good looks! Who am I to argue? You see, I recently found myself in a pretty rough spot and needed a second chance. The awesome folks at ARF said I could come hang with them until I find a family of my own. Maybe you can be that family?

Before you make that decision, I have to tell you a little secret. I have never learned what a leash is! Can you imagine? Little old me not knowing what a walk is. So, I was told that I have to learn “leash manners.” I’m not sure what that means yet, but I am willing to do anything if it means finding a home. Hopefully my new family is willing to be patient while I learn the ropes. I have also heard rumors of dog beds, toys, crates, walks, and cuddling. I cannot wait to find out about all of these great things. Oh, and I would love a canine brother or sister to play with.

Ok, now you know my secret. Are you still willing to give me a furever home? If so, please stop by the shelter to meet me!

** The adoption fee helps to cover the general veterinarian check-up, heartworm test, spay/neuter, basic vaccinations, rabies vaccination, worming, flea preventative, and microchip that all dogs adopted through Berea ARF receive prior to going into their new home.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Paige, a Berea Labrador Retriever/Shepherd (Unknown Type) puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever/Shepherd (Unknown Type) for sale in Berea, or seeking a Labrador Retriever/Shepherd (Unknown Type) puppy from a breeder in Berea.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Berea already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Berea breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever/Shepherd (Unknown Type) breeders who help with Labrador Retriever/Shepherd (Unknown Type) rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Berea paves the way for another one to be saved.
