My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hello. My name is Carly. I'm about 1 1/2 years old and I weigh about 45 lbs.
I was brought to the pound by a man who claimed to have just found me, but they suspect he wasn't being truthful with them because I was terrified of people when I came in to the shelter. I wouldn't come near people at all and completely tried to avoid any type of human contact. They don't believe that he could have caught me. They believe I was his dog and he couldn't keep me because he said "I would keep her but I have to have surgery and can't take care of her".
Now that I have been here at the pound for a little bit, I have really came around!! I'm pretty happy and I am becoming more and more social everyday. With a lot of work and effort, I now even walk on a leash!! I am doing very well if I do say so myself!
I loving coming in the office, but when I am in here, I mostly just lay around on the doggy beds... When another dog comes in to the office I get all happy and follow them around. I really like other dogs and they really help to bring out my personality, so the pound thinks I would do best in a home with another dog.
Now that I have gotten more time with people who treat me nicely, I am finding that humans are actually pretty cool!! I mean, they feed me, walk me and even do this thing called "petting" that I absolutely love now!!
I will need time in my new home to adjust to my family and my surroundings, but I will make someone a very, very nice dog if they just give me some love and a chance!
Please consider adopting me!!

I appear to be in good health. I have been given my Parvo/ Distemper vaccine and I have been dewormed with panacur dewormer.

PLEASE CONSIDER THIS DOG, AS WELL AS ALL THE OTHER DOGS AT OUR SHELTER AS URGENT. OUR KENNEL SPACE HERE AT THE POUND IS VERY LIMITED. THIS DOG COULD BE EUTHANIZED WITHOUT FURTHER NOTICE ANY TIME AFTER DECEMBER 22, 2014.
HERE AT THE COLUMBIANA COUNTY DOG POUND, WE TRY VERY HARD TO PLACE ALL OF OUR ADOPTABLE DOGS IN TO LOVING HOMES OR SEND THEM TO GREAT, APPROVED RESCUE GROUPS, HOWEVER, WE CAN ONLY KEEP OUR DOGS HERE AT THE POUND AS LONG AS SPACE ALLOWS.

MY ADOPTION FEE IS $110 CASH, WHICH COVERS MY SPAY SURGERY (WHICH MUST BE DONE PRIOR TO ME LEAVING THE SHELTER), MY PARVO/DISTEMPER VACCINE, RABIES VACCINE, DEWORMING AND MY CURRENT OHIO DOG LICENSE WHICH WILL BE HONORED THROUGHOUT THE STATE OF OHIO.

THE POUND IS OPEN MONDAY THROUGH FRIDAY FROM 8 AM- 4 PM AND SATURDAY FROM 9 AM- 12 PM. WE ARE CLOSED SUNDAYS AND HOLIDAYS.
