Snowball's Story...
This precious little pup is Snowball, a maltese that is a little over 5 years old, and would love to get a fresh start in life. Snowball came to us from our Newark facility in the hopes of getting a great new home. Snowball had a home, but when the landlord said Snowball couldn't stay, off he went. This fluffy fella was a bit distraught to be uprooted from the only home he had ever known and brought to an unfamiliar place, but he has since settled in and has put his past behind him. Snowball is looking forward to starting over with a family that will love and care for him forever. Although Snowball is a bit shy with meeting new people, he is super sweet and friendly, and once he gets to know you, he'll climb in your arms and let carry him around like a baby. He is quite ridiculous that way, in that he likes to be pampered and doted upon and when you hold him, he'll even put his little paws up over his head. He is so lovable and affectionate, and very well behaved. Snowball was a bit filthy and disheveled, and he was a perfect gentleman for a full spa day. He walks well on a leash and is very gentle. Snowball gets along just fine with well behaved dogs too. Snowball is ready to begin again in a wonderful home of his own where he will never be given up again. File#24078 10/30/14

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Snowball, a Forked River Maltese dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Maltese for sale in Forked River, or seeking a Maltese dog from a breeder in Forked River.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Forked River already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Forked River breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Maltese breeders who help with Maltese rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Forked River paves the way for another one to be saved.
