EASABELL's Info...

I am already spayed, housetrained, purebred, up to date with shots, good with kids, and not good with dogs.

EASABELL's Story...
EASABELL is a 2 year old fawn female with natural ears. She came to rescue due to divorce. Easabell was living in a barn and her previous owner intended to breed her. She never had a litter, but of course came into heat the second day she was with us. This means we have to wait for her to get over her heat cycle before we can get her spayed and ready to move to a foster home. We don’t know if Easabell ever got to live inside a home, so we don’t have much info on how she would behave inside with a family. Her previous owner stated that she was housetrained, but not crate trained. She seems very sweet and is very smart. She definitely knows how to lift the locks on a kennel gate to let the other dogs in so she can play with them. She seems to be fine with males, but for some reason has a dislike for tan colored dogs. We do not know about cats, but will cat test her soon. She will only be placed with children over the age of 12. Easabell came to MAGDRL in April 2008.

Update 6/1/08 - Easabell is now spayed and ready for her home. She is a sweet girl, but we think that she will be most happy as an only dog or go into a home that is dedicated enough to re-integrate her with other dogs. In one of her former homes she was muzzled and was allowed to be attacked by another female dane in the home. We know this is the reason for her disliking other dogs, especially large dogs.

***EASABELL is looking for a foster home. Can you help?***

Why Adoption is a Great Option

EASABELL, a Pearl River Great Dane dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Great Dane for sale in Pearl River, or seeking a Great Dane dog from a breeder in Pearl River.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Pearl River already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Pearl River breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Great Dane breeders who help with Great Dane rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Pearl River paves the way for another one to be saved.
