Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Meet handsome deaf super dog, Fitz! Fitz is a three year old deaf male pit mix who is currently being fostered by a local dog trainer. He is neutered, micro-chipped, heart-worm negative and current on vaccinations. Fitz is great with other dogs and loves everyone he meets. He is fantastic with kids but would probably do best with older children - His exuberance for life might be a bit too much for youngsters! Fitz is crate-trained and knows his basic commands (sit, stay, down, come, touch.) He LOVES running around in the yard with his dog friends and most of all, car rides! At the end of the day, he believes that he is a lap dog who should be allowed to curl up right beside you for the evening. Fitz compensates for his deafness by being very attentive to the people around him. He doesn't have any issue with being startled or being wakened from a deep sleep...unless you consider a tongue bath an issue! He is food-motivated and has been very easy to train. This special boy can't wait to meet his forever person... could that lucky person be you? Please e-mail: adoptions@spcaonline.com to set up a time to meet Fitz.
