My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

~This dog's adoption fee is $400 for Spring Break! She's hoping to be able to party with you, so please consider giving her a furever home!~

Candy was rescued off the street when she was very very pregnant in a rain storm. The next morning, she gave birth to 5 puppies. Sadly, only one of her pups survived. Her lack of care and nutrition during her pregnancy doomed all of the others to a very short life. We are thankful that the little bit of time they did have on earth was spent in a loving warm foster home and not dying in a cold rain storm.
Candy is between 1 and 2 years old. She is good with other dogs and loves everybody she meets. She walks great on leash and is a super sweet girl. Loves to play with others and go for walks. Knows sit and walks great on leash. Candy will make a great family companion.

This dog will be ready to leave our care in time for our Triple Header event weekend! First, CPR will be with North Shore Animal League at Petland in Southbury, CT on Friday, April 10th from 2pm-6pm. On Saturday, April 11th CPR will be at Choice Pet Supply in Monroe, CT from 10am-2pm. Lastly, CPR will be hosting an open house at their adoption center in Southbury, CT on Sunday, April 12th from 10:30am-1:30pm. PRE-APPROVAL is REQUIRED to bring home a pup from Sunday's event. If you are not pre-approved, you are still welcome to come and meet pups at the event. You can apply while you are there, but the application will not be processed the same day. Come meet our pups and find your forever friend!

This dog is spayed/neutered, up to date on vaccinations and current on flea/tick and heartworm preventative. This dog has tested negative for heartworms. The adoption fee is $375 if your adoption is prepaid and final prior to your dog's arrival. An additional $50 will be charged on dogs that are picked up from our Southbury CT adoption center, adopted at an event or foster home. This additional fee is necessary in order to comply with CT HB 5368.
If you are a MA resident, your new family member is required to go through a mandatory 48 hour quarantine period at our Woburn MA isolation facility. Your new family member will be dropped off by our transport on Thursday and will be ready for you to pick him/her up on Saturday between noon and 2pm. An additional $75 fee will be added for puppies picked up from our Woburn MA quarantine facility. This additional fee is necessary in order to comply with MA Order 405-CD-12 and Order 1-AHO-05. MA residents are no longer allowed to adopt from our adoption center or our adoption events due to MA regs. All MA adoptions must be finalized prior to the puppy leaving our care in TN.

TO APPLY PLEASE GO TO www.cprdogs.com. If your application was successfully submitted you will get a confirmation. Please DO NOT USE the ADOPTAPET "CONTACT THIS RESCUE GROUP" form below or you may not hear from us as these often end up in spam or bouncing back.

After receipt of your application an adoption counselor will then be in touch to answer your questions about this pup, discuss the adoption process and get the ball rolling! If you have not heard from one of our volunteers within 5 days of submitting your application, please email mollibo@gmail.com.
