Franco/Fritz's Story...
Hi, my name was Franco but now it's Fritz. I am approximately 4 years old. I was adopted from the shelter about a year ago after I had been found injured in the park. Just recently the nice person who adopted me died. I have been very scared and have trust issues. I have had a lot of bad things happen in my short life! The shelter staff is working with me and are seeing that I really want to be loved, and am willing to learn to accept a new owner. They have also noticed that I like some dogs but not others. I haven't been exposed to cats yet, so we aren't sure if I like them or not. Won't you give me a chance and come see me at the Chino Valley Animal Shelter?

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Franco/Fritz, a Chino Valley Dachshund dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Dachshund for sale in Chino Valley, or seeking a Dachshund dog from a breeder in Chino Valley.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Chino Valley already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Chino Valley breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Dachshund breeders who help with Dachshund rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Chino Valley paves the way for another one to be saved.
