Would you just look at that big smile? Dempsey is constantly smiling, even after he was given up to us from the only family he had ever known. Dempsey was obtained as a puppy and is now a year old, and his family can no longer care for him. Dempsey is a shepherd/boxer mix and is just the nicest, friendliest guy. He was a bit confused as to why he was going into a run, and not back to his home, but he is not letting his current circumstances get him down and he realizes that he's in very good hands. We've got Dempsey all fluffed up with soft beds, lots of toys, and good meals, and he will get plenty of TLC while he awaits his forever home. He is such a well behaved boy and when he was having his harness put on, he sat nicely and lifted his paws up to help. He is very gentle and loving, and he walks nicely on a leash. He enjoys our exercise yard and will chase after a toy if you throw it for him. Dempsey is a big leaner and once he decides he likes you, he'll lean against you and beg you for some attention. Dempsey grew up around children and lived with another dog (who was not given up), so he would do fine in just about any loving home. He also does not mind cats either.
