Blizzard's Story...
Bundle up and hunker down for the night cuz the forecast calls for a Blizzard hitting your heart! Looks like it is going to settle over your home like a white blanket of loyalty & protection, so you’re advised to remain inside as much as possible and cuddle me! You bet your toboggan I love cuddling, but I also like getting out and hitting the trails, or maybe doing some laps around the track! I am no slouch and I like to go, go, go! No one’s yet to teach me leash manners, so I can be quite reactive if I see a threat...and let me tell, I take great pride in keeping those scary strangers away from those that I love. I have a blast playing with other dogs, but if you are going to take me out to stretch my legs, make sure it is somewhere fenced, and any time I am outside make sure I am secured in a yard or on a leash. One of my favorite games is catch me if you can, and I bet you can't catch me! Respectful children 10+ would love to run around with my white wonder, and boy oh boy do I promise to keep them safe. I am already crate trained, and housebroken too but no cats for me ok? You don't want to get left in the cold, so come warm up with this Blizzard! 5 years old-63lbs. My adoption fee is $180 and includes neuter, microchip, reduced-cost training class, free veterinary exam, 1 month pet health insurance, leash/collar, food sample, toy & treat packet.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Blizzard, a Portland German Shepherd Dog dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a German Shepherd Dog for sale in Portland, or seeking a German Shepherd Dog dog from a breeder in Portland.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Portland already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Portland breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even German Shepherd Dog breeders who help with German Shepherd Dog rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Portland paves the way for another one to be saved.
