My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Director Greg Willey made a trek to Amish Country and rescued 17 dogs that were living in puppy mills. Most dogs are 7 years of age or older and are no longer useful for breeding purposes. If not rescued, the fate of these dogs would not have been good. The rescues are used to living in small cages with not much human contact. With that being said, most are scared and nervous but relish human contact. They are not nippy at all and like to be held and cuddled. All will need lots of training, patience and most of all love. They are not house trained and have never had typical dog experiences. Even walking on grass is a new experience for some of them. Friendship is looking for experienced adopters willing to work with these sweet pups. Most will need dental work and some will need additional medical attention. With a little time and patience they will be very loving dogs that are grateful to finally be in a loving home.

If you have kids and/or another dog in your family and are interested in adopting a Friendship dog please bring them with you for a meet and greet. No appointment is necessary. Stop by anytime during regular business hours.
