Katie was at the dog pound, getting over looked time and time again because she is a black dog. Black dogs are often over looked at shelters because they are "ordinary" looking or scary. Katie is neither of those things. She is a beautiful dog with a wonderful personality. She gets along great with other dogs, is fine with kids, loves to play tug a war or chase ball, she is house trained but hasn't figured out how to ask to go out yet, she loves her crate, loves her bed and would snuggle on the couch with you all day if you let her. This amazing girl needs an amazing home. She has some basic training that needs finished but really nothing major. It has been very cold out so the foster home hasn't had the ability to work on walking on a leash without pulling so that is one thing she needs work on. She does bark (and what a great bark she has) when someone comes to the house. She would make an excellent dog to alert you to strangers (or not strangers).
Katie is an over all great family dog and she so hopes that in 2015 she can find that family!
