Here's what the humans have to say about me:
*****Adoption Pending*****
River is an 8-month old neutered male with a full tail that came from the Pine Ridge reservation. He is a medium energy Aussie but shows every sign of being a bit of a couch potato as he matures. He loves to go for walks and has excellent leash manners. He would make a great walking or jogging partner. River is suspicious of strangers at first (he shows this by barking loudly), but if he is allowed to approach them at his own pace (especially if they have treats, since he is a sucker for treats) he warms up fairly quickly. Within a day you will be his new best friend, and adoration from this dog is something to behold with his play bows and grins of joy as he runs toward you. River is good with other dogs but does show some guarding behavior around people food. We are working on this and the behavior is fading. When left alone in a crate, River shows his displeasure by barking. This is also improving with training and when he is loose in the house (while we are home) he is quiet and never destructive. He is good with cats and seems fine with dog savvy kids. River needs some training to ease his fear of strangers and to finish his house training. He is a young, stable and happy dog that will give you years of laughter and love in return for a small effort upfront.
