Clyde's Story...
Clyde is a very handsome, friendly, lovable, playful and loyal, golden/green-eyed, six-year-old, male silver tabby cat looking for a loving guardian.

Clyde was rescued from Chicago Animal Care and Control and is currently living in a cage at a vet’s office until he finds a loving foster or permanent home. Clyde loves other cats, but would do best in a home with a few, rather than a dozen. The poor guy had been found as a stray, covered in fleas, malnourished and anemic. He has regained his health and has a gorgeous coat and happy disposition.

Clyde loves to be close to his people and even enjoys sleeping under the covers with them. However, he’s wiggly and not big on being picked up and carried around. He loves toys, especially catnip toys and grooms and drools on them.

Clyde has exhibited excellent litter box habits and uses his scratching post like a good boy. He’s so gentle with his claws, even when he doesn’t want you to pick him up … he’s a true feline gentleman.

Clyde is healthy, de-wormed, neutered, up-to-date on vaccines, micro-chipped, and virus-tested. To meet and possibly adopt him, please fill in the on-line adoption application at http://famousfidorescue.com/rescueforms/machform/view.php?id=26727 and follow up by contacting Gloria at fido@famousfidorescue.com or 773-907-0305.

His adoption fee of $75 benefits the rescued pets of Famous Fido’s.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Clyde, a Chicago Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Chicago, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Chicago.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Chicago already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Chicago breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Chicago paves the way for another one to be saved.
