Here's what the humans have to say about me:
This handsome boy is Fred. He is an extremely nice black lab mix, about 3 years old and weighs 70 lbs. Fred came to us from a very bad shelter and did not have much time left. It was his lucky day when one of our volunteers spotted him and made arrangements to get him to our rescue. Fred tested positive for heartworm shortly after he came to us, but he has since had his treatment and is now heartworm free and in perfect health. He is a happy boy and shows it by wagging his tail all the time. Fred likes the hugs and attention he gets and loves being around people. He is a nice boy. Fred gets along well with other dogs, but is usually the alpha in the crowd. He would be considered medium energy and loves playing fetch, running, hiking, going for long walks in the woods and just being a part of what is going on. Fred would make a loving and loyal addition to most any family. Fred has been neutered, is heartworm free, up to date on vaccinations including rabies and is micro-chipped. He has been kept on heartworm preventative, flea/tick preventative and is crate trained. If you would like to learn more about this wonderful boy, please go to our website and indicate 'Fred' in the notes section of the online adoption application. We can cat test if needed.
