Cooper's Info...

I am already neutered, housetrained, up to date with shots, good with kids, good with dogs, and good with cats.

Cooper's Story...
Cooper recently became an FFFR pup after being returned to the pound by his adopters. We met him and fell in love :)

This little guy is a Shih Tzu mix, just about three years old.

Right now he's badly in need of grooming ... which will happen VERY soon! He had a bad mat at the base of his tail which has already been removed ... making Cooper a whole lot more comfortable and happy!

Cooper is a mellow pup who just loves attention and affection. He is totally happy to sit on your lap and watch a movie with you :)

He does great with other dogs and with children - we're recommending children over the age of 7 - and with cats, as well.

Cooper will be neutered and fully vetted soon, as well as being groomed so that we can all see his handsome face :)

We are currently accepting adoption applications. No adoption will be finalized until he is neutered, vetted, and groomed ... but that shouldn't take very long at all!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Cooper, a Groton Shih Tzu dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Shih Tzu for sale in Groton, or seeking a Shih Tzu dog from a breeder in Groton.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Groton already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Groton breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Shih Tzu breeders who help with Shih Tzu rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Groton paves the way for another one to be saved.
