Sticks's Story...
We don't know how many days Stick had been tied to a tree without food, water or shelter or how he survived the freezing nights. When we got this little fellow just days before Thanksgiving, we could count every bone and his bloated belly was full of twigs and pebbles. We were heartbroken to see a pup in such pitiful shape, but Stick's skinny little tail started going a mile a minute when he saw us and it hasn't stopped since! He's made a full recovery thanks to good groceries and lots of love from his foster family. He's happy, confident and gets on very well with other dogs, but the kids in his foster home have him pretty darned spoiled, so he'd be delighted to be your only dog provided he could spend lots of time with you. Stick is quite fond of going for walks & car rides and playing fetch, but his favorite thing in the world is snuggling. (Fortunately, we think he'll fit in the average lap even when he's grown.) He's crate trained, walks nicely on a leash & is getting to be fairly reliable about asking to go outside. Why Adoption is a Great Option

Sticks, a Spring Valley Chihuahua dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Chihuahua for sale in Spring Valley, or seeking a Chihuahua dog from a breeder in Spring Valley.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Spring Valley already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Spring Valley breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Chihuahua breeders who help with Chihuahua rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Spring Valley paves the way for another one to be saved.
