Milan-ADOPTION PENDING's Story...
We all know how we get that awww feeling when we see an adorable young puppy. They're so new and fresh with every possibility open to them. That's the case unless they're in a high-kill shelter that is dismal, not the most sanitary environment and quickly runs out of space. This is the situation that Milan was put into at 8 weeks old. It's not unusual to see opportunistic breeding with the Norfolk, Terrier and Poodle breeds ...and if all doesn't go perfectly...out they go into the street or to a high-kill shelter. Such was the case with Milan when it was found that he was allergic to fleas and lost all his fluffy hair! Fleas in Houston in the summer is an inevitable state of affairs. We're so grateful for the efforts of our great Texas rescuer in saving Milan...she could see that his temperament was so loving and sweet that she couldn't allow him to be euthanized. Milan was immediately brought to be vetted - he was pronounced a healthy baby who needed a clean home where fleas weren't an issue. He was brought to be fostered...and with love, soothing baths, healthy food and a clean, insect-free spot..his skin will heal. His coat is very slowly growing into a layer of cottony-soft chocolate...so beautiful! Our adorable Milan desperately needs a spa day. If that doesn't occur prior to his transport, Farfel's will be happy to cover his first grooming at our compassionate rescue groomer's salon in Denver.
It turns out that Milan, at only 2 months old, is so wonderful and cooperative that it's been a fun and rewarding experience for his foster mom. He's like a blank slate...open and curious about everything around him. If Milan continues to be properly socialized, he will become a well-adjusted and devoted adult companion. If he is treated kindly with clear behavioral guidelines, Milan will become a well-behaved guy who respects his family as his leaders. This is the kind of family we're searching for for Milan. Since Milan is a combo of active, fun-loving breeds, we also feel it's very important that he is provided with exercise and mental stimulation. Milan will be a perfect size to enjoy hiking and snowshoeing in the Colorado mountains and then small enough to be the perfect lap dog at the end of an active day. We'd also like a family who spends lots of time at home and chooses to include a fuzzy companion in their activities. Milan can be taught that the car is a fun place that leads to great adventures out in the community and can therefore accompany his family just about anywhere.

Milan will be arriving on transport in Boulder on Saturday 1/17/2015. Applications are currently being accepted and can be found at http://farfelsrescue.com/adoption/. Why Adoption is a Great Option

Milan-ADOPTION PENDING, a Boulder Norfolk Terrier/Terrier (Unknown Type, Small) puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Norfolk Terrier/Terrier (Unknown Type, Small) for sale in Boulder, or seeking a Norfolk Terrier/Terrier (Unknown Type, Small) puppy from a breeder in Boulder.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Boulder already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Boulder breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Norfolk Terrier/Terrier (Unknown Type, Small) breeders who help with Norfolk Terrier/Terrier (Unknown Type, Small) rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Boulder paves the way for another one to be saved.
