I am already spayed and up to date with shots.

Kassie's Story...
Kassie is an 11 year old spayed female Rat Terrier who arrived at the shelter with her sister Cricket. When Kassie came into the shelter she was very underweight and had skin allergies that got out of control from lack of medical care. Despite this, Kassie is a true sweetheart who loves her cuddles! She is currently in foster care and gets along great with her other four legged friends. Kassie is also great with kids! She is very quiet and has only barked once. Kassie is truly an amazing girl who loves everyone and everything. She enjoys going on walks to explore and snuggling up next to the fireplace. She is looking for a family that will give her the love and attention she needs.

Applications are now being accepted, and a visitation with the dog is encouraged.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Kassie, a Meridian Rat Terrier dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Rat Terrier for sale in Meridian, or seeking a Rat Terrier dog from a breeder in Meridian.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Meridian already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Meridian breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Rat Terrier breeders who help with Rat Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Meridian paves the way for another one to be saved.
