My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Don't wait for the perfect moment. Take the moment and make it perfect- Vin Diesel in The Fast and the Furious
Diesel's life has been far from perfect but that is all changing now. This handsome boy once sad and sick is now thriving since being pulled by rescue and given a second chance at life. He was distraught and underweight and full of heartworms, he wasn't perfect and no one wanted him. Things are different now. Diesel is a beautiful 2 year old red and tan Doberman mix weighing 40 lbs. He is no longer sad but has a bit of a comical side these days. His foster mom has taught him to go or jump on wherever she points to, she pointed to his crate for in, he took it as jump on. Okay so he kind of missed 'the point' on that one, but hey, we got a laugh out of it and he was pretty darn proud of his accomplishment. Speaking of accomplishments, Diesel is great on leash, knows sit and kennel (in not on), completely house trained and what a sweetheart! (shhh don't tell him I said that) Our once deemed imperfect boy loves other dogs, cats and human companions. There are no children in the foster home so he has not been tested with kids but we have a sneaking suspicion he would pass with flying colors. His foster mom says one of his favorite games is being chased around the house and yard (sounds like he'd be good with kids to me). Diesel very much enjoys being pet and sitting next to his humans, however cuddling isn't really his thing (he says that's too girly for him). Diesel will be ready for his forever home in a few weeks after he has completed his heartworm treatment and he is completely healthy for the first time in his life. He is up to date on all vaccinations, neutered, and has been placed on all appropriate preventatives. Diesel may not have been seen as perfect at that moment in time at the shelter but people who care took a moment to make him perfect and we are looking for the perfect home Diesel has earned and deserves. Could this be your moment to find your perfect companion?
