Donna's Story...
Donna is a DSH brown tabby girl who was one of two cats abandoned in a rental when the tenants moved. We estimate her to be between 1-2 years of age, which means she's old enough to be out of the kitten-antics stage, but still young enough to appreciate a good play session. And she's not going to pass up a chance for some chin scratches or other affection, either! Donna's just a plain ole brown tabby, and brown tabbies are often overlooked for more spectularly-colored cats, but don't miss out on a chance to have a loyal, fun and frisky lifelong companion with you just because she's not unusually marked! If you'd like to meet Donna, call 502-222-7537 or email jojohsoc@aol.com

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Donna, a LaGrange Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in LaGrange, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in LaGrange.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in LaGrange already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a LaGrange breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in LaGrange paves the way for another one to be saved.
