Look at this handsome boy! Ricky has had a rough start in life but since the Animal Network rescued him from the shelter several months ago he has made tremendous progress! While Ricky can be dog selective, he is currently living in a foster home with 3 other large dogs and is very respectful of the pack. With the proper introduction, Ricky can get along good with new dogs about his size. Especially the females!! What a flirt he is.
Thanks to the donations of generous people, Ricky is currently undergoing professional dog training and what an obedient dog he has become! Ricky can sit, lay down, give you a hand shake, responds great to the recall command and walks right by your side on a leash. He is also house trained and crate trained and uses a doggie door with no problem. This sweet boy loves to cuddle next to his human buddy on the couch. Yet, he can spend endless time playing fetch with his favorite tennis ball. Ricky is a very smart boy and would do well in a family with an active lifestyle with such activities as daily walks, running, or hiking etc. Because he is a strong boy, we recommend families with no small children under the age of 15. As part of the adoption fee, Ricky’s new family will also receive a free private session with the trainer and several group trainings in efforts to maintain the consistency in his ongoing training.
