Wanda's Story...
Please meet Wanda. She is a very energetic, 9 week old little rat terrier girl. This sweet group of pups (1 boy, 4 girls) were pulled from animal services when they were five weeks old. Unfortunately we realized they had parvo, but after a battle in which we lost two, these five beat it and are now healthy, happy and wishing for their forever homes. They are almost 9 weeks old and will be small to medium sized dogs. They are so sweet after everything they have been through. We are a 501c3 local rescue and we are looking for homes where they will be inside dogs, that have a fenced in yard and where they will not be left alone during the work week. Adoption fee applies.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Wanda, a Flower Mound Rat Terrier puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Rat Terrier for sale in Flower Mound, or seeking a Rat Terrier puppy from a breeder in Flower Mound.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Flower Mound already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Flower Mound breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Rat Terrier breeders who help with Rat Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Flower Mound paves the way for another one to be saved.
