My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Geri is a 3 year old female beagle. Geri, who is often called Emma by her foster Mom, is a sweet girl who loves to cuddle. If you are sitting down watching TV, she wants to be cuddled up by your side. She will also follow you around the house. At the age of 3, Geri is past the chewing stage and has not chewed on anything that was not hers.

Geri gets along with the other dogs in her foster home. She enjoys an occasional game of chase, but she much prefers the attention of her people. She absolutely loves to go on walks and will start bouncing when the harnesses and leashes come out.

Geri is crate trained and is very quiet in the crate. She does not particularly like to be crated and will back away when she realize she that it is that time again! She has been left uncrated at her foster home for the last week with no problems.

Geri is house trained and has free reign of the house when her foster parents are at work. She uses a dog door to go outside as needed when her foster parents are home. Geri likes to snuggle up to you at night and sleeps all night without moving. She will sometimes choose to sleep in the den on the couch if she is too tired to get up at bedtime.

Geri is a little beagle; she is maybe 13 inches and weighs about 20 lbs. She can jump up onto the couch, but she is too short to jump up on the bed. She will attempt to jump up, then look to you for assistance when she doesn’t make it. She is a timid girl, and needs warm up time with new people and places. She is also afraid of loud noises and will leave a room if your drop something or make a sudden movement.

Geri would love to have a family that will spend time playing with her and loving her. She would probably do better in a home with no small children as the noise and activity would probable scare her. She would do ok with older, calm children. If you think this sweet girl will fit in with your family, please fill out an application so you can meet her.
