"Leo"'s Story...
My name is Leo, and did you say Tennis ball? I am a happy and loving 5 year old adult male Cocker Spaniel. If Leo could talk he would say "I love my tennis ball so much" I carry it every where. My dream is my forever family will have a fenced yard to play ball with me. If you're to tired to play I can entertain myself too. I am a easy going guy, I like other dogs and cats but really just love my tennis ball. Leo was saved on his last day from a high kill shelter in Ca. Leo is healthy and handsome with moderate energy. He is neutered, and is current with all vaccines and micro-chipped. He would make a excellent addition to a family who seeks a moderately active dog. Leo requires grooming every 6 weeks. He is potty trained, and uses a doggy door. Leo would make a great addition to any family whome is seeking a ball happy, funny, loving best friend.
Before applying please do the research on how to prepare for a dog. We recommend that you have everything in place prior to bringing home a dog. i.e. crate, pee pads, food, puppy sitter etc. Leaving a dog home for 8 hours per day will not work without someone to help care for the dog. Rescue dogs should not be left alone for more than 4 hours at a time. Adoption fee: 525.00
6dogrees Rescue is a small, grass-roots, non-profit rescue focusing on saving dogs for euthanasia from high-kill shelters in California. California euthanizes 800 dogs per day! This is due to over breeding, puppy mills and lack of funds to help the problem. We feel all dogs deserve a chance at life no matter where they live so we do our best to help them. 6dogrees Rescue goal is to place the dogs into forever happy, loving, homes in Washington State.
6dogrees Rescue is a small passionate 501c3 (non-profit charitable organization). Adoption fees are not negotiable, and are in place to fully vet our dogs and to “Save-it-forward”; meaning when a dog is adopted we save another. 100% of all fees are spent in the dogs. Home check and references required. Please submit an adoption application at www.6dogrees.com if interested. The adoption fee is $525.00 The fee covers spay/neuter, DA2PP shots, Rabies, Bordatella, deworming, flea treatment, Heart-worm testing, microchip, boarding, grooming, health certificates, and transport cost from California to Seattle. This adoption fee will also go towards helping many of our rescued dogs who are in desperate need of surgeries, dental and teeth extractions, hernias, cherry eye removals, medications and boarding fees. Fees are in place to rescue dogs and care for their medical need and are non-negotiable. An application must be filled out to get a response from us @ www.6dogrees.com.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

"Leo", a Seattle Cocker Spaniel dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Cocker Spaniel for sale in Seattle, or seeking a Cocker Spaniel dog from a breeder in Seattle.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Seattle already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Seattle breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Cocker Spaniel breeders who help with Cocker Spaniel rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Seattle paves the way for another one to be saved.
