Zeus's Story...
27 December - Zeus has been a great resident at our shelter. He is sweet and of average energy. He loves his walks and is good in our outdoor runs. He seems to be a very balanced dog who doesn't get too wound up about the shelter chaos. He will make a great dog for a single person or a family with kids that are at least 5 years old as he would possibly knock over small children by accident.
17 November -This beautiful guy wandered up to a lady's porch in hopes of some love and food. She cared for him for a week and tried unsuccessfully to find his owners. Now he is in our care and looking for a forever home. He is young, healthy, and friendly. He has shown no signs of aggression towards people, dogs or cats. We will add more info after our vet sees him and he gets settled in.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Zeus, a Union Springs Labrador Retriever dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever for sale in Union Springs, or seeking a Labrador Retriever dog from a breeder in Union Springs.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Union Springs already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Union Springs breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever breeders who help with Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Union Springs paves the way for another one to be saved.
