Cheerful, friendly, affectionate, funny, fun-loving, sensitive, and sometimes a little shy, Eastwood’s love of interactive playtime or any activity involving water (except maybe bath time) is rivaled only by his genuine love of people. Thoughtful, playful, interested, and inquisitive, he has an enthusiastic, puppy-like mind-set when outdoors, and he’ll thrive in a home where he gets regular physical exercise; having access to a fenced yard where he can run, play, and explore with family members and on his own would be perfect for him too.
An intelligent, high-functioning dog who learns quickly and excels in obedience, Eastwood will need some mental stimulation too. He’s completed Training and Socialization classes at Dundee K-9 where he was a star-student, and we think he’ll benefit from and really enjoy additional training and socialization classes. This will also be an excellent way to bond with him as well as to reinforce good canine manners. For all his strength and brawn, this handsome boy has an extremely sweet disposition, and he’s a really warm-hearted, sincere guy who aims to please at every turn.
A calm, casually-relaxed, extremely loving and well-mannered dog who likes to hang-out and be close to his people when his exercise needs are met, Eastwood is looking for a responsible, caring owner who will welcome him into a loving home and provide him with the regular exercise, consistent leadership, and lifelong companionship he needs and craves.
Eastwood is best suited as an indoor pet and companion for a home with a moderately-active to active lifestyle and no other dogs or cats. Although he’s comfortable and been well-mannered around children of all ages, we think he’s do best in a home without toddler-sized children because of his puppy-like playful exuberance (he sometimes doesn’t know his own size and strength). As with all Monroe SPCA adoptable dogs, a home visit will be required prior to adoption.
