BETSY's Story...
1/11/15 Meet Betsy.. she was surrendered to PBC ACC with a maltese and a shih tzu... one companion animal was adopted from the shelter and Betsy and Wilma are in our program. Betsy is a pretty girl.. weighs 8 lbs and is active for her age. The county shelter aged her to be 9 yrs. She was sterilized today and had 7 teeth removed. Her coat was unkempt and matted at incoming..and a little dry and flaky but we are adding flax seed and coconut oils to her diet. She can be adopted with her companion Wilma or alone... We are currently interviewing families on line at this time.. please email on her behalf..

Our dogs are spayed or neutered, current on vaccines/deworming, microchipped, heartworm free and given heartgard and have flea/tick prevention applied.
Our adoption donation is $150.00 for our adults. Adopting a dog is a lifetime commitment. Are you ready for a new found friend?

Why Adoption is a Great Option

BETSY, a Wellington Shih Tzu/Maltese dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Shih Tzu/Maltese for sale in Wellington, or seeking a Shih Tzu/Maltese dog from a breeder in Wellington.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Wellington already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Wellington breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Shih Tzu/Maltese breeders who help with Shih Tzu/Maltese rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Wellington paves the way for another one to be saved.
