Giggs 5F0A's Story...
This easygoing guy is Giggs. He is a three year old Labrador Retriever mix. Giggs originally came to PAWS from Animal Control and was adopted out. He was later owner surrendered to a kill shelter in Athens, Georgia because his family said that they no longer had the time for him. We went and got Giggs and brought him back here to find this sad, sweet boy a true and loving home. He is very well mannered and mellow, a truly sophisticated fellow. We consider him "tall, dark and handsome". He walks nicely on a leash, he gets along with other dogs, and he loves to play. Give him a chance and he can get rambunctious, but when the opportunity presents itself, Giggs prefers to curl up at your feet and keep you company. Giggs seems to have the whole package going for him - smart, fuzzy, four legs, loves to learn and lives to please. He has been neutered, microchipped and is current on his vaccinations. Come in and meet this sweet, wonderful guy. He has a lot to offer a forever family! MYM: Purple, "Teacher's Pet".

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Giggs 5F0A, a Columbus Labrador Retriever dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever for sale in Columbus, or seeking a Labrador Retriever dog from a breeder in Columbus.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Columbus already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Columbus breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever breeders who help with Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Columbus paves the way for another one to be saved.
