Chester was found tied to a tree abandoned in the Whittier area. He wound up at the Downey pound where his staring at people got him labled as aggressive. Professional evaluation by a trainer and a veterinarian showed him to be malnourished, uninterested in dogs and non-aggressive to humans, but suffering from kennel cough, a painful ear infection and skin infection. Several interactions with caged cats showed him to be disinterested in them. The person who took him to the pound said he was good with her kids. He really is only interested in human interaction, food and being loved and caressed. He has a calm, confident demeanor.
