My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Kiki and Koko are a gorgeous, talkative, colorful, fun and energetic pair of bonded male and female parakeets looking for a loving guardian together.

These two beautiful birds lived with a family for a few years before they moved to a no-pets apartment. They are about four years old and I understand parakeets can live for 20 years!

I’m pretty sure Koko is a male based on the blue color of his cere (the "bump" above his beak), and Kiki is a female based on the pink color of her cere. In either case they get along beautifully. They love the toys, swings and mirror in their cage; they pick, peck, swing and play with them.

Feel free to read up on Parakeet care before taking the plunge.

If you’d like to meet and possibly adopt Kiki and Koko, please contact sheri@petraits.com or 773-777-2891. Their adoption fee is $70 including their cage, food, toys and treats. They are being fostered in Chicago’s Andersonville neighborhood.
