My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Muffin Boy
1.5 year old Lynx Point Mitted Ragdoll Mix

Muffin is a beautiful, hunky, lynx-point Ragdoll male with inquisitive, soulful blue eyes and a lovely, sociable temperament. He came to rescue from an overcrowded shelter where he was understandably unhappy: Ragdolls are sensitive cats and do not thrive in institutional settings. Fortunately, it took just a few days in a peaceful foster home for him to relax and reveal himself to be an affectionate lap cat. His foster mom, who quickly fell in love with him, named him Muffin because he likes to make “muffins” on his humans.

Adult Ragdolls are typically laid-back—often comically so—but they take several years to mature, and at one and a half, Muffin still loves to play. He turns on his tummy to let his human know when he is in playtime mode and ready for fun, fun, fun. He will run after a teaser, a string ribbon, or a crunchy crinkle ball. Sometimes he "hunts down" a stuffed animal, tosses it into the air, grabs it, and nibbles vigorously. (Yes, he is still teething.)

Muffin is developing into a big, muscular boy who would do well in a family with respectful older children. Alternatively, he could live with a couple or a single person who has time to give him the attention and affection that he wants and deserves. Like most Ragdolls, Muffin is very people-oriented, and his foster mom wants to be sure he goes to a home where he will not be lonely. If you work during the day, he needs to be able to spend time with you in the evening and sleep on the bed at night. He would be compatible with another sweet, gentle cat, maybe one of his own age, but definitely not a dominant cat who would chase or threaten him.

Muffin eats well and has impeccable litterbox habits. He is adorable, loving, healthy, and ready to go to a home as perfect as he is. He is fostered in Davis.
