My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Zoe is a 4 year old Black Labrador Retriever mix (possibly some greyhound in there?). She weighs 45 lbs. She is housebroken and knows SIT, STAY, LIE DOWN and GO TO BED! She is sweet although a little timid at first especially with bigger dogs. She is afraid of the Swiffer and vacuum. Zoe is gentle, loving and not a barker; she walks fine on a leash and likes her toys. She gets along well with other dogs, we don't know how she is with cats or children. She does fine at doggy day care and in dog parks where she prefers the smaller dogs area. She’s a sun bunny and loves to lounge around outside with the sun on her face; she's also a bird-chaser. Zoe has fairly severe separation anxiety at this time. She will bark and howl incessantly when left alone and will scratch the door to try to get out. She will not tolerate a crate and has injured herself trying to escape them so that is not an option. Zoe came from an animal shelter and was adopted at a NKLA event a few months ago. Her current mom has wisely recognized that she has neither the expertise nor the availability during the day to work with Zoe on her separation anxiety issue and has asked us to rehome her. Come see her at our adoption fair.
