Jake - ADOPTED 01.09.15's Story...
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.

Hi, my name is Jake.  I was saved from a high kill shelter. I'm a super friendly, outgoing, talkative kitten.  I love to sit on my foster mom's lap and purr away.  I love to play with toys and climb my cat tree.  I'm good about using my litter box and scratching post.

I may have been exposed to the Feline Leukemia Virus.  Unfortunately I have to wait 6 months (mid-April 2015) till I can be retested to know.  Because of this I can only be adopted into a home with no other cats.  The virus isn't contagious to humans or dogs.

If you're not sure about adopting you could always apply to foster me.  The rescue pays for all my food, litter and vetting.

So do you think you have room for me????  If you have any other questions about me, please email my foster mom, Alicia, at tkn.alicia@gmail.com.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Jake - ADOPTED 01.09.15, a Williamston Domestic Shorthair kitten was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Williamston, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair kitten from a breeder in Williamston.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Williamston already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Williamston breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Williamston paves the way for another one to be saved.
