No amount of research can prepare a person for the experience of a first puppy. Although it frequently happens to first timers, experienced people are not totally excluded. Chewing, biting, housetraining and everything else that goes with raising a puppy can seem like insurmountable problems if you are not prepared. Along comes the “maybe this wasn’t such a great idea” phase; and, not long after the pup is in a rescue or shelter. Spot is a four-month-old Beagle and at least his family brought him to a safe place and did not abandon him on the street. They wanted a home that could meet his needs and appreciate his engaging personality. We all know Beagles are active and will continue to be energetic for many years to come. Spot’s nose will guide him through life, so in order to keep him safe he will require a Beagle-proof fenced yard. He is a fun-loving and playful fellow who must have daily exercise in all seasons and all kinds of weather. A bored Beagle can become destructive. Every creature – two legged and four legged – that Spot meets is a new best friend. He loves the company of other dogs and would do well in a home with a canine companion. He is still too young to be left at home all day; he requires a family that is present a good part of the time to guide and train him. Spot deserves a home where he’ll receive the type of unconditional love and loyalty that he has to give. Would it be yours? Please fill in the Adoption Form if you would like to adopt Spot.
