My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

*SUPER SWEET* VERY LOVING * LOW ENERGY * QUIET* CUDDLE BUNNY* Looking for a loving home with a nice lap to snuggle up on! Bambi is a toy chocolate poodle, about 8 lbs, and between 6-8 years old. This is one sweet girl with a horrible past. She was being used as a breeder dog for a local mill who decided to shut down in Ohio and move out of state. He had three dogs he didn't plan on bringing with him and therefore, was trying to find someone to shoot them. When no one stepped forward to perform the gruesome task, he simply left them behind to die, in the freezing barn (it was mid-January...brrrr). When we took in these three dogs, they were literally pooping hay which we assume they were eating in an effort to stay alive. Despite the obvious lack of love by this horrible man, Bambi is the sweetest girl EVER! She is a wonderful lap dog who will never take for granted her warm bed and good food. She is a quiet snuggle bunny. Her special needs: Bambi requires a daily medication to control minor seizures. This medication only costs $20/month. Bambi has lost her left eye due to sever glaucoma. Instead of having her in daily pain with an on-going effort to control the pressure in her eye (very painful!!), it was best to remove the eye. This would also remove any possibility of developing eye infections in a useless eye. We can't imagine how miserable her life was in a cold barn with painful pressure in her eye for so many years! She also had several mammary tumors removed (all tested benign). Bambi deserves a quiet furever home. If you have a special place in your heart for this special needs girl, we welcome your application! ~~~~~~ All Dogs Unlimited Rescue dogs are spayed/neutered, up-to-date on all shots, and are given a monthly flea/tick and heartworm preventative. Upon adoption, all vet records and any current medications are provided to the adopter. If you are interested in adopting, please complete an adoption application located at http://www.dogsunlimitedrescue.org/Adopt.html THE SUBMISSION OF YOUR APPLICATION DOES NOT GUARANTEE AN ADOPTION NOR DOES IT OBLIGATE YOU TO ADOPT. Multiple applications are accepted for any available pet and a home is chosen that is the best match between the available pet and the potential furever family. Your application will be processed as quickly as possible and if approved, a home visit would be scheduled. No adoption is final until an Adoption Agreement is presented and agreed to by both parties. Our goal is to find the right match of our dogs to their new family so all involved are furever happy! Questions: email adopt@dogsunlimitedrescue.org And THANK YOU for considering a rescue dog for your family!
