My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Candy gets her name from her sweetness!! Even though she had an extremely difficult start on life she's the happiest dog and loves all people and all dogs!! We rescued Candy when she was just 4 weeks old and weighed only one pound. Candy was a severe neglect case and she spent her first few days in Inentsive Care hooked to IV's struggling to live; She had three different types of parasites eating through her internal organs and she was extremely emaciated and dehydrated; Miraculously Candy not only survived, but she is thriving and loving every moment of life!! Candy is now 8 months old and is spayed. She weighs only 40 lbs. so she will be a 'petite pitty' even when she's full grown! She is just beautiful with her brown and red brindle coloring and her gorgeous light green eyes. Her ears are sometimes straight up and sometimes one stays up while one flops down ... seems to fit her silly personality!! She's very playful and wants nothing but to be in on the action at all times!!! She's quite a ham and is never shy! She is super-friendly and extremely affectionate and loves to give kisses!!! She also loves to cuddle up next to you at bed time or TV time! Candy has been taking obedience classes so she knows sit, down, stay, come, and ofnbsp; She loves going for walks and car rides! She even loves taking a bath.! She's now enjoying the snow for the first time and has a ball running in it and burying her head in it!! The cold temperature doesn't discourage her at all! Candy is also very curious and anxious to explore; therefore a fenced in is required and it must be at least 6 feet high as she has been able to jump over a 4 foot fence!
