My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Wendy is a very friendly 1 year old retriever mix. She is completely house trained and does great in the house as long as another dog or people are around. She will need to be in a
house that has people around most of the time and she'll do best with another dog in the family.

Wendy loves going for walks and is good on a leash and she's great in the car. Wendy loves hanging out with her two foster brothers. When foster dad gets home from work all three are laying on the front couch.

Wendy knows basic commands and is well behaved.
She is a great match for someone who is looking for a mellow friendly dog.

Wendy does have bi-lateral hip dysplasia. GRFR will pay for FHO surgery for Wendy at one of our GRFR vets. Her adoptive family will need to be willing to go through this surgical and rehab process with her. She had her first hip done March 24th - We'll do the 2nd hip several weeks later. This will be a bit of a process but Wendy will be so happy to be pain free once the surgeries are complete. Wendy will need to be kept on the thin side for the rest of her life.
