Here's the scoop on Nick:
- a male tan and white pit pup
- about 6-8months old
- weight - about 60lbs
- sweet temperament
- does well with kids, other dogs, cats (was in temp foster with all of them)
- learning to walk on leash etc
- UTD on shots (including Rabies)
- seems to be blind in one eye (a birth defect) but it does not bother him at all
Nick's Story:
Nick/aka "Bubba" is a young sweet pit pup that was found abandoned in a town in LA County. A young girl found him and brought him home, hoping to locate his owners or find him a new home. He did fine with the other dogs, young kids and cats in their home. Sadly no owner was found and she was not able to find a new home for him, but could no longer keep him at her home right before the holidays.
Thankfully through FaceBook, his story and cute "Santa dog photos" spread and a fellow rescuer contacted Dog Shack to ask for our help. We agreed to help him. We decided that he should be re-named "Nick" to suit his "Saint Nick attire" and his rescue right before Christmas!
Nick has been transported up to us in the Marin, CA area - he needs a foster home or ideally a forever home. Nick is still a pup but he has already been through a lot and bounced around. He would do best in a home that will have someone who can be home a lot or can take him along for daily activities. Also, like any young dog, he will benefit from more basic training to grow into a well behaved adult dog.
If you are interested in fostering or adopting Nick, please contact Dog Shack ASAP by email: pets.katrina@gmail.com
Please include some background information regarding your interest in "Nick" and the home you can offer him, as well as your location and best contact tel. number so a volunteer can get back to you quickly.
Thanks!
