Lyla- Deceased's Story...
Lyla is an adorable puppy. She looks like a pretty even mix of jack russell and pit, and is smaller than a pit, at only 25 pounds and about 5 months old, I expect her to be about 40 pounds full grown.
She has the cutest markings, she's solid white, except for a mask on her face, and her ears stick up like a jack russell's. She's adorable.
She is housetrained, isn't destructive in the house, is pretty good on a leash, but she does not like being crated.
Lyla's had it pretty rough so far, originally found in the road covered with fleas, wormy, and with a collar so tight it was choking her. The person that found her took her in, got rid of the parasites, but couldn't keep her, and in the next 2 weeks or so, she was bounced around through about 5 people, until someone that fosters for me found her tied to her porch with a note.
Understandably, she's a little shy after all of that. It takes her a few minutes to warm up to new people and about half and hour to really warm up to, and start playing with new dogs, she's not aggressive, just scared and unsure of what's going on.
That said, once she's warmed up to you, she's as sweet as can be, loves to be cuddled like a baby, and when she see's you, she gets excited and starts jumping about 3-4 feet straight up (not on you).
She's a very active dog, being a terrier, so definitely needs plenty of room to run, she can be a little terror in the house if she doesn't have the opportunity to run off that energy.
She loves playing with other dogs, and really needs an energetic male dog that will play with her.
As long as she's had exercise, when she's inside, she likes to be with you, and is pretty happy just sleeping next to you.
