Heineken's Story...
Heineken is a 1-2 year old Basset mix, who weighs around 33 pounds. He is ultra friendly, lovable, happy and an all around good boy! He's very social with humans & dogs alike! Plays well with other dogs, humans, and can even entertain himself! Balls are his all time favorite toy. Heineken has proven to be a good listener and a quick learner! In the short time his foster has had him, he knows sit, leave it, paw, and is learning more daily! He doesn't bark much and is almost fully potty trained! Super Sweet Boy who would do best in a home with another playmate or active owner(s) since he loves to play a lot!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Heineken, a Cincinnati Basset Hound dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Basset Hound for sale in Cincinnati, or seeking a Basset Hound dog from a breeder in Cincinnati.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Cincinnati already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Cincinnati breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Basset Hound breeders who help with Basset Hound rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Cincinnati paves the way for another one to be saved.
